There is a park at the East River end of Greenpoint Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It is called NYC Tramsitter Park, and it made for a great setting for catching up with a good friend, and enjoying the spiritually comforting vista of the river an the lower manhattan skyline during a beautifully spring-weathered magic hour sundown.

"At the end of Kent Street is a recreational waterfront pier, featuring opportunities for fishing and a view of the Manhattan skyline and East River."

I'm sure if I lived just a few blocks away, this would be the kind of opportunity — to feel a cool breeze against my face, to hear the lapping of the waves on the rocks, to watch the constellation of Manhattan city lights make themselves available — that I could take for granted.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE GREAT TIME I HAD SHARING THIS MOMENT WITH A WONDERFUL FRIEND HAD TO COME TO AN END. WHICH IS WHY I TAKE PICTURES, SO I CAN BE REMINDED OF WHAT IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR ME OUTSIDE THE RESTRAINING COMFORTS OF HOME.
